So I miss clicked and gave the Fylkirate title to my Grandson, who went off to have kids. Turns out having the view lower titles (apparently Duchies count as lower titles sometimes, for some weird reason) over the send button is an awkward design choice, especially when really important titles are involved. Kid became Fylkir instead of Jarl of Island.

If I kill all claimants, will that destroy the title? Or will it go back to my current king, a hundred years or so after the mess up? I really want to wear that crown again, and the pagan AI seems to have an obsession with declaring suicidal holy wars that tank the Moral Authority, like my idiot duke of Sjaelland who declared a holy war against Pomerania. Twice. And lost.

Only DLC is Legacy of Rome, Old Gods, Ways of Life and Reaper's due.

Also, are Secret Societies without Monks and Mystics still unplayable? What happens if the head of religion becomes a secret heretic.

When there is no possible heir to the Fylkir title a new lowborn character would be created and given the title UNLESS someone else would inherit the titles as well.
This means, if you kill your grandson and all his children you should inherit the Fylkir title as well as the counties of Iceland.

You vassals may declare Holy Wars as they wish unless you change the crown laws - it doesn't matter who is head of religion

Huh, does this apply to great grandchildren as well? Because this is 100 years after he became Falkyr. I don't see my current king in the claimant list, does that mean I'm too late?

Can you revoke the title?

If he's a vassal should still be able to, right?

No. For some reason they designed it so you can't revoke religious titles. Even though you can give it away and he's still a vassal.
Does the Falkyr title take up a Duchy slot, because that's the only reason I can think of for wanting to give it away intentionally? Otherwise its just bad design to have a title you can't Usurp, Destroy or Revoke but can give away.

People give it away just before dying to try to get the Ancestor veneration which you can't get if you are the head, and if you want to convert you have to give it away first.

If he has a county as well
Amd his dynasty dies out the liege gets all his titles.

Since he is related to you at some point you might he in the line of succession.

If you don’t want to murder your way to the title you can get it trough marriage and regular succession.

Hmm well he is landless, so I could try giving him land and try doing it that way. Marrying kin makes me a little wary because of incest. Does it matter if everyone shares the same grandfather / great grandfather? Because Harald Fairhair is pretty much the primary ancestor of the dynasty in Norway. I think pretty much everyone has ties to him, because I matrinially married his daughters and granddaughters off to make more kinsmen to get that nice opinion bonus and to curb independence movements.

Huh interesting. But that's only if you have Holy Fury, right?

Correct. With Holy Fury when you reform with the Ancestor Veneration option you can gain essentially Sainthood and get bloodlines, which works fine under most forms, but for Temporal because when you die there is no religious head, you cannot become Venerated and then can't get them, so people try to give it away to their heir shortly before death.

That's a bit inappropriate and discriminatory? Slandering the people of a whole state just because it happens to be in the Deep South, making them out to be some sort of incest-fiends. I find that sort of prejudice a bit unappetizing, and think you should give the poor guy a fair shake.

I mean, it's not like he's from Alabama or anything... :p

I wish you could destroy more religious titles. In my view ALL Religious Titles should be destroyable. Perhaps once you conquer all of the provinces which practice said religion, making the religious head unwelcome in said provinces, each time the RH dies, there is a chance the title is “lost”, with modifiers, such as an increasing modifier over time if the RH holds no land. And another if the faith is no longer a majority anywhere...

It's Alabama and West Virginia that has the incest stereotype. The former is more prominent.

When it comes to Mississippi it's the "thank God for Mississippi (we're not last)" stereotype.

As someone from the north, people around here don't tend to discriminate between states like that. Deep South = incest, where I'm from.
