I'm playing a game as Iroquois and I have been colonizing provinces to allow me to vassalize and then annex the other tribes. The issue I'm running into is that these colonies on the same continent as my capital are staying as colonies and at no point does that go away so they are stuck at 50% autonomy. Is there a way to remove that or am I stuck with that for any province I colonize even if it is on the same continent as my capital? Thanks for your help.

Nope. You're stuck with it forever and ever. If form a CN and switch to that, it'll ignore the colony status, but it won't actually clear the colony status.

Nope. You're stuck with it forever and ever. If form a CN and switch to that, it'll ignore the colony status, but it won't actually clear the colony status.

Be careful when doing CN swap tactics when your capitol is in a CN region. Form the SA CN first, then connect it to your contiguous empire, THEN sell the provinces across and switch, so you don't instantly form another CN from land you want to own directly.
