This new peace conference system is the worst part of the update by far. Super unintuitive and confusing, and just today I've ran into something even worse.

For one, you can no longer feed your puppets land in peace deals. This is particularly annoying to begin with, but what's way worse is that you no longer seem to be able to annex impassable terrain. I have no idea how its determined who it goes to.

In this playthrough, I just beat italy as france. I had no options to choose what happened to the impassable states, so I just took the Algerian coast/Cameroon like I usually do, then puppeted the remaining African states. Somehow, this results in Britain getting to have two of the impassable states??? It doesn't even make sense. They weren't even involved in this war for the record, I rushed france ASAP.

Look at this mess

They directly own it as well, hell they even own the Southern Sahara state despite me liberating Niger

I'm not even sure if this shit is intentional. The old peace system really just needed to have the warscore calculation changed, this is so much worse. It's impossible to even tell what's going on in these anymore, and they take 10 times longer to boot.

For impassible states, you need to own all of the regular adjacent states to it to secure ownership of it. It looks like it falls back to whichever country has the largest industry if more than one country owns the adjacent states.

As for the puppet, you can only grant them territory they have cores for. I don't understand why you would want to give a puppet non-core territory instead of creating another puppet that has cores on that territory.

I don't see why it should even be an option to go to an uninvolved nation either way

invade England with the Netherlands in 42 and when it capitulates, all the states that I have not conquered..... become dominated by Italy.
We are not in the same faction and the Italians have not set foot in England.

We are going to be an absolute nonsense, a patch and dlc disaster. The resistance to the occupation is a joke. In a year, you easily go weapon negative and lose a ton of manpower. Let's say almost more than in a year of war.

I said, until this disaster is not played, it should not be played

Could just use brutal oppression and get the resistance target down to zero.

But I assume you just want resistance to not really do anything. Meaningful choices, in my Hearts of Iron?

When they change it, they will....Where will you get in, it's clearly wrong. But there are always those who say no. The reason, perhaps to get noticed.

By the way, it had high repression and followed the loss of guns and men. Seriously, maybe you play a different one than the others.
