Can you name battle plans?

It would be very simple to code, I see no reason why they wouldn't you can name armies and rename lands in EU4, their most recent game, and our best guess as to what the GUI and minor features will be like.

It's a good idea . If it's not in the base game (they're still working had to get it out, so may not be big on adding new features pre-launch), I wouldn't bet against the devs thinking it was worth working in post-release.

I really really hope it is a feature. Just wouldn't be any fun masterminding an encirclement, going to name it "Operation Divine Justice of the Sword of Neptune" and finding out it has to be a generic nameless thing

Ohhhh I really do hope the ability to rename armies/fronts/battle plans is in the game. It would add a lot of lolz. But if not, oh well. It could still be a totally awesome game without this and I will still give my battle plans and armies their own names in my head anyway.

I'd love to, while playing as the US, draft up contingency plans and name them in line with the color-coded war plans, even after the war concludes and alternate Cold War-style events begin to occur!

Well, i dont know/think you can name the plan itself, but you can rename the battlegroups to whatever you want, which shows on the defensive/offensive lines. So you could name your battlegroups after the operations they are supposed to execute like weserübung(Operation Weser-Exercise), seelöwe (sealion), fall blau (case blue) etc.

You can name command groups

The formula for successful operation naming is straight forward. C + F = O.

Color + Fish = Operation

Examples: "Operation Green Sea-Bass." "Operation Burgundy Sturgeon." "Operation Silver Rainbow-Trout."
