Hey quick modding question, is there a way to make an event fire on initialisation with the target being a character who is already dead, I've tested the event through console with the character ID and it does exactly what I want it to even though he is dead, but I can't work out how to make it trigger on its own

I was looking at that on the list but whilst there are things like mother_even_if_dead etc there isn't a "character _even_if_dead" listed in scopes and I'm trying to scope it to an id so I really need it to target through a character scope

Could you copy however sainthood gets applied? I know that can fire years after death even if there are no living descendants of the saint.

Okay, so i did a text search on the CK2 events folder for the term even_if_dead and got 31 file hits each containing dozens of individual hits. The hits though range from mother_even_if_dead, any_child_even_if_dead, father_even_if_dead and so on. It seems therefor that the text even_if_dead s a suffix that can be used with some (or all) other individual character scopes. Try it and let us know !

I just checked and there is nothing in particular that brings the character back alive, but since it is possible to scope to a dead character then you might try giving the target a small positive Health bonus, just in case "death" is defined in the game as having a zero Health stat. If it is then making a zero Health character have say 3 Health should bring them back to life, if it isn't then alive/dead must be defined via some internal flag.
