I'm trying to chase down an enemy army by force marching. The movement meter will fill up but my army won't move to the next province for some time even if the meter is full.
This only happens when I have an army attached to mine. I'm guessing this is because the attached army is not force marching so my army waits for them. This is really annoying, any way to detach them?

No, there is not (sadly). That being said, you should not be held back by attached armies. Sometimes the meter appears to fill faster than you actually arrive. You can be sure by checking the "date of arrival" rather than the meter. It is trustworthy, the meter is not.

This is coming in 1.4. Each stack will have a tick box 'attach to this unit'. Untick it and any currently attached units will detach, and no further units will be able to attach.

Not so sure about not being held back by attached units. When your army is force marching and the enemy army is not you catch them 90% of the time.
When I have an army attached to mine the enemy can march away from my force marching army almost every time.

Happy to hear about them fixing this.
