don't be silly, computer games have not yet been identified by nations as a form of self-aggrandizing propaganda. Cept maybe in America re America's Army etc, and even then- not really.

How do you think the world works anyway? Let's say government see's a game that casts the nation in a good or powerful light, or harks back to an epoch of that nation, and so the government will do what exactly, lean on publishers and distributers to flood the shops with said game? Alot funds fromtax-money and sell the game itself? Enshrine new laws to make it illegal not to play that game?

I don't think that's fair, Victoria is a refined taste, that's all. I'd rather paint fleas then play Championship Manager for instance, does that make me an unintelligent philistine?

I don't see Victoria as a history game (although it's taught me a thing or two) rather a strategy game. Don't care about the history, don't even like the era, but the Game Itself is Genius! Genius!!

I would also encourage the thread starter to buy it directly from Paradox too, however they do not have it in stock on www.paradoxshop.com (hint hint). Neither would I be interested (this is my opinion) in buying-it-on-demand either. I myself like to have the disk and the flexibility which goes with the disk.

If you mean on the on-demand site, yes I know it is available there, but you cannot buy the 'physical' game from Paradox at the moment.
