Here is my concern.
Since the intercity highways outside your city is beyond your control.
Here in South Africa, you have the province of Gauteng. It is the economic heart of the country, and here, almost all the intercity connections are multilane highways.
But then you also get the Nortern Cape, which is semi arid and towns are small and far apart. Here, the roads between cities are single lane two way roads.
Will we be able to start off with single road connections, and upgrade them to highways as our cities grow? I don't want to have small little Pofadder with a huge highway running through it, but I also don't want enormous Johannesburg restricted by tiny single lane road connections?
