I couldn't care less for the map outside of Europe anyway.
85% of my games are "Eurocentric" and 99% of them never reach 1821. Like honestly, I play most of my games still 1700's and then just change the nation - start over.
Although having a detailed map is great I guess, it's just I never really notice that "one extra province in Southern America that will change the game completely OH MY GOD", to be honest.
