Since when was this implemented? This old button from the forum view page that allowed me to only view dev response disappeared a few years back and I've spent possibly dozens of hours desperately scrolling to find dev responses since then. I can't believe I've been missing this feature all this time.
I'm completely comfortable with how Vanilla sets up the game. The tweaks that many other mods add to the game just doesn't sit well for me, I find that most of the are unbalanced or just plain broken. Especially mods that increase the time line. The only mods i don't mind would be graphic enhancements and music mods.
OP, it's great that you've made the effort to mod in many of your own suggestions (I left some feedback on a couple of your threads), but everyone else is just as entitled to their own opinions about how the map can be improved.
I have no problem with people posting threads about things they care about and I don't. However, it's very annoying when DDs degenerate to complaints about things that *didn't* change rather than being about the changes that were described in them.
I want to read the thread, because I care about the topic. Not because I want to read some offtopic complaints about a less than optimally portrayed tag/culture/whatever.

Holy crap they had pop in EU2 and I keep hearing an EU game can't have pop so what gives. Can't we just ditch this bloody much maligned base tax and bring back actual numbers?

I was about to say the exact same thing. Plus it made it so much easier to find the capital at a glance. That would be the only thing that would be worthwhile to bring back from the old map...

Don't know about EUII, but population in EUIII was terrible and I'm glad it's gone.

Why are some of you complaining about Balkan people? It is not like we from Balkan are demanding outrageous changes, we just want some focus on our region. I am glad to see that paradox has decided to at least give us some detail , any addition is welcome and we are thankful.
However, Eastern Europe is the most underdeveloped part of Europe in Eu4, it has the least historical correct portrayal. So why not bring the issue up from time to time?

Do Devs play mods?
Some devs started out as modders.
EU2, but mostly the same thing.

Yeah, EU3 was THE thing. Although I think that I would play EUIV as fervently as I played EU3 if it weren't for that meddling CK2 always wanting me to play it instead...
I heard a rumour that the next DLC will be a fantasy scenario where the Balkans get submerged under the sea. It won't affect anything else though, the area would just be out of the game.

It's not that an EU game can't have population, it's that they can't have population in a way that actually reflects history in any manner, as proven by the previous games in the series.
I'm one of those players. I don't participate in the forums at all but I do play the games. I'm also one of the people who posted complaint threads. So that kind of participation might lead to some skewed conclusions. I want to play vanilla, I do know that the devs at this company listen to feedback, and that's why I did my rant. But that doesn't mean that I don't enjoy the game for hundreds of hours and I will continue to play it no matter what happens.
