I don't understand why this not an option even though you can do this to other types of subjects, it makes creating a colonial nation of your culture very difficult unless your Spain or Portugal (because they can colonize earlier). Personally for me it makes colonizing less fun, if I'm France and Scotland takes the Canadian provinces, I want to be able to force French onto my newly conquered subjects. Without an option it makes it a very annoying and tedious process to try to get my colonial nation my culture, because you have to wait years to convert culture whilst your competitor will keep colonizing. So please can we just get a enforce culture in the subjects tab for colonial nations, possibly and increase in liberty desire and cost dip points or something!
Kind regards!

The problem with this is it kills new world cultures.

That is true, but only for specific nations though. France has no new cultures that can appear from colonization, and other nations too I believe. I still think though there needs to be a way for my colonial subject being of my culture, or at least culture group, and I think an enforce culture would be the easiest way to do this.

I really think there should be dynamic colonial cultures for every combination of colonial region and culture group. And that should probably be possible to enforce.
