Perhaps a national idea/tradition that reduces the rebel size that uprises by -10% or -20%? Both naturally through unrest in provinces and events?
Events arent mechanics. And North American tribes just got a huge number of new events in the patch. South American will get new ones too when they revamp that region.
I'm talking moreso that they don't have mechanics similar to the horde (razing provinces/border provinces) or Cossack border tensions.
Also I haven't read the recent dev diaries, so thank you for pointing that out.
You mean trade company buildings? There are 15 of them. How many more would you want before its becomes silly?
Just thinking of a more realistic way to represent the Dutch and Portuguese trade colonies through province modifiers rather than owning provinces wholesale. And 2/3 provinces with trade company buildings are miniscule to the rest of the states that control the malaca straits or bay of bengal.
They still control land. They siphon land resources and spawn rebels. If you're asking why you cant give them specific individual provinces, we had that system and it got upgraded to this one as it was deemed to micro intensive for no reason.
I'm fine with the states/provinces being handed and taking away automatically but it doesn't offer much in the way of consistency when you don't know where the rebels will spawn. Sure you can look at rebel types, but even that doesn't help as they don't distinguish between the different estate rebels. In the old system you knew where they were going to rebel, here not so much...
Revanchism already gives 8 different individual buffs. I'm not sure what you want? More buffs?
Maybe a national idea/tradition that allows for a country to gain more revanchism than normally? Or decays slower?
Maybe army professionalism could get a buff or a revamp for high army limit nations, but it seems like you're just asking for a free +5% discipline for everyone.
I mean different countries can acquire professionalism through different means. Maybe passively over time, through battles or fighting on home territory instead of the usual events and drilling phases.
Flagships, marines and naval defenses allready give them. Its in the game.
Forgot about them my bad
Devastation itself is a buff/debuff.
I meant being able to cause more devastation with specific countries, decrease impact of devestation, increase recovery rate or similar
? Expanding not/expanding administration is itself the buff/debuff?
Something akin to what Elder Scrolls Universalis did where the cost to expand administration is lower depending on government reforms
??????????????????????????????????????????????? Like, government reforms are literally just buffs? Or, if youre asking about reform speed, its tied to autonomy and expand administration that themselves have tons of buffs/debuffs, like core creation cost, the lawgiver ruler trait, national ideas, estates, absolutism, etc.
I was thinking moreso the cost of passing a reform would be higher or lower depending on ruler personality, government type, war (maybe?) etc.
