They were pretty useful, and aren't really replaced by anything now. It would probably be fine to add them back, possibly at an increased cost.

Wiz: no
But really, I would support specialized buildings. I can see why some would be OP (like the embassy giving a whole new diplomat), but really they were expensive. You earned that diplomat. I support
It's a joke. It's from another thread a while ago when all he said was "no". Exactly like that. I just expect the devs to not change it more because it was recently changed and there's some weird modifier that shouldn't be there, like the Length of War penalty for a separate peace out of a warWhy did Wiz say no?
Maybe they could be balanced out by requiring the province to have 15 or 20 development? Something to make the development system meaningful and not just a mana sink.
It's a shame farm estates and refineries were cut as well, really nice artwork on those. RIP in pisces.
Well you will get the bonuses for the embassy building in the beta patch if you are a kingdom or an empire (+1 diplomat) the rest of the buildings were really not that important.
Maybe except for the one where you get a free leader. So sorry its a no for me....
Some of the other bonuses were pretty useful IMO, and it'd be basically no work to implement them. Perhaps they could simply not just add the embassy back in?
