Can we get the EU3 style overlord name displayed over vassal on the map?

To the devs,

As the title suggest, now that we have a reason to keep vassals alive by turning them into marches, is it possible to show the overlord's name over subject territories like in EU3? e.g. we could see a big "France" over the french region at the beginning of the game instead of the small twisted one we have now, or a big "Swedish Poland/Russia" over Poland/Russia if the countries there ends up becoming Swedish puppets. In other words, can you show the overlord's control directly or indirectly somehow like before, and is the feature removed due to performance reasons?

Sweden's vassals aren't Sweden and Sweden's vassals aren't Swedish. I wouldn't like it but it could be added if optional.

We can certainly use generic names like "Swedish Puppets" for them all, but Sweden's vassals are subjects of Sweden and under Swedish control. The whole point is to show sphere of influence when zoomed out.

I'd love it too for when you're zoomed out.

You could do it as a third zoom level -- you scroll all the way back, you get sphere of influence names.

Isn't there a players map mode, which kind of shows the players land and subject? Not sure though..

the point is that we want the name slapped all over our sphere of influence, ie. land we directly and indirectly control. there's nothing as satisfying as seeing your nation's name in large font over a large area of territory

It'd be a welcome improvement to the Sphere of Influence map idea, where instead of just showing you it shows you the Sphere for all countries. It'd definitely make potential wars easier to visualise.

technically you can click on the province of a country you'd like to invade so that you could instantly see *their* sphere of influence (whether they're the junior or senior in it)

Yes, but as soon as you unclick they dissolve into multiple states again. It's not a massive problem, but it'd be a great UI fix for the Sphere of Influence mapmode to focus on Spheres of Influence.

In essence, a mapmode like CK2's main political mapmode.
