2500 at 900 radius and a .15 core. I also permitted 0.02% of stars to occupy the middle. Took very little time to generate... although the middle looks larger now.
It's impressive.We have a winner!!
2500 stars, 500 radius, 10% core, and 0.02% of the stars in the core.
30 empires... I will let you know how it goes.

Well they'd probably have to make the fixed outer 'map' edge larger to stop the whole 'entire galaxy squashed up against the edge becoming a square' thing otherwise cramming more stars into the galaxy sizes in use now is just going to end up being incredibly cramped.
Yeah, I know the game already chugs a bit during endgame at the largest size, but with all the new empires and content and such that has been added, the option to have a larger galaxy would be nice, if only just so things dont seem so cluttered.
Honestly I have a beefy computer and still play on medium or small galaxies. I can't bother to micromanage 50 planets even with the new changes, and I like to play on the fastest speed.
Agreed. I even set the slider to 0.25x habitable planets as well and changed to playing tiny/small galaxies... just because I start to get tired of the click-fest.
I wish they wouldn't have removed the manual assignment of systems to sectors... and that the AI sector management wouldn't be so bad. Not that I want the forced sector system back, but it being there optionally and actually useable would at least be helping at managing larger galaxies.
Honestly I don't know how anyone can bear managing more than maybe 50 planets... more and it gets tiresome pretty fast.
There already are several mods for that in the work shop. Take one of those or copy one to make your own.So... one problem. Stellaris ran out of system names way before 2500. Anyone know where those are in the files? I need to supplement.
