If you want they could replace it with the little ruler going into an exciting hunting trip! Surely nothing will go bad!
Oh, or maybe invite that little baby to a boating trip... surely fun, right? ;)

And I don't think anyone ever assassinated an infant via asp.

You're right, it's very unrealistic to depict and assassination of an infant with a snake. The amount of effort to get a snake to kill an infant is silly when a cheap pillow works just as well. Paradox, please change the image accordingly.

Also, you've clearly missed the other (at least) 2 threads about this topic and it seems the majority of people aren't bothered by the image (at least enough to want it to be removed). It turns out, a lot of fiction has depiction of terrible things. Myths, legends, and even actual history is cruel and terrible things happen. The image is very illustrative of the game they are trying to make. If you don't like the artwork, which is clearly an indication of the tone of the game, maybe that's a sign you might not like a lot of things in the game.

I am probably one of the most lenient players when it comes to killing infants in Crusader Kings, but I thought the ad was great, & was so appropriate for the game.

Just contact to Vice and let them make a story about Paradox allowing infants killed by a snake.

btw they are also behind the Deus Vult asspul so Paradox will definitely bend the knee and beg for forgiveness.

I do agree, an assassin would smother the child. They should show a child being down by a pillow over the face. It should be then uncovering the face to reveal the child’s uncle, who stands in line to inherit if there is no living heir.

How can it be cruel when it's a picture? I mean... it literally isn't happening. And in the game you'll be assassinating babies in far worse ways than that. Far worse.

There are far worse things to be showing as an ad for Crusader Kings than a snake and a baby. Think of all the other ways you could kill a child for example, just shake it a little too hard and it's dead. Or just have the words "Deus Vult" that riles people up far more than infanticide apparently

beds with humans on them are hostile environment for snakes , humans move , venemous snakes can see the heat coming out and they know that they are alive and they get frustrated especially if they cannot leave or the human they are stuck with is moving or even breathing hard , a simple move might make the snake attack .
yes the baby did move only his fingers + breathing in the video but for some very angry provoqued snakes thats enough for them to attack , the one in the trailer was in a sack for a long time , enough for it to get angry and to attack the first thing it see as a reaction of self defense , ( watch how venemous snakes react in real life when they try to remove them from their sack ) .
also snakes were used to kill toddlers in history ( check history of china and ottomans and the arabs , the world doesnt turn around the west , if it didnt happen in england or france it doest mean it never did elsewhere ) .

Ever hear of Heracles?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heracles

He and his twin were just eight months old when Hera sent two giant snakes into the children's chamber. Iphicles cried from fear, but his brother grabbed a snake in each hand and strangled them. He was found by his nurse playing with them on his cot as if they were toys.

When did the concept of symbolism start decaying so much that people are literally stating that PDX supports infanticide?

What is this time and space? Where am I?

Its an ad, it feels very dark. Seems pretty relevant to the subject matter. Marketing team did a great job on it frankly.
