Can we do anything with distant, extinct family trees?

Sorry for the vague question. I was mucking about with the files, and I noticed that the ruler list for the Byzantine Empire goes back to 244AD--that is, to the proper, unified, pre-Diocletianic Roman Empire. That's really.... awesome, but confusing. I noticed that they even have dynasties and everything.

As far as I know, nobody in 1066 is descended from any of them. So the question is, where in-game would I see any of this stuff? Is there a previous rulers list or something? What can I do with it, or is it just background?

I thought it was mainly used for the regal numbers i.e Alexios III.

just for coolness factor, and making sure history files are complete, plus it would also help alot with modding that predates the start date.

You can probably see them ingame when viewing the history a title.

And yes, it is superbly cool to have this kind of fluff stuff.
