From what I have read on the KR forums it seems Trotsky is a disgraced man in eyes of all but what if he finds his way to America and joins the CSA and organizes the American Red Army to victory and then afterwards has a power stuggle with William Foster (seems like an American Stalin) or one of the other three (Thomas,Schactman, or Mattick) and then decide if either he our one of the other four becomes the CSA's head of government.Just an idea so what do you all think.

Woah woah, slow down there mate. No need for the run on sentence. :p

Anyway, I fully agree with what Dutchie had said, Trotsky would be a complete disgrace. He'd kinda be like Kossuth, once a leader, quarrels with essentially every other exile and then obscurity. Sorry. :(

However, there is a little something that I have mentioned a couple of times that we might see Trotsky in the game for awhile.

Well, she sneaks around the world from Kiev to Carolina
She's a sticky-fingered filcher from Berlin down to Belize
She'll take you for a ride on a slow boat to China
Tell me, where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

Steal their Seoul in South Korea, make Antarctica cry "Uncle!"
From the Red Sea to Greenland, they'll be singing the blues
Well they never Arkansas her steal the Mekong from the jungle
Tell me, where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

She'll go from Nashville to Norway, Bonaire to Zimbabwe
Chicago, to Czechoslovakia and back!

Well, she'll ransack Pakistan, and run a scam in Scandinavia
Then she'll stick 'em up down under and go pick-pocket Perth
She put the "miss" in misdemeanor when she stole the beans from Lima
Tell me, where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

Botswana to Thailand, Milan via Amsterdam
Mali, to Bali, Ohio, Oahu!

Well she flies around the globe, and she'll flim-flam every nation
She's a double-dealing diva with a taste for thievery
Her itinerary's loaded up with moving violations.
Tell me, where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

Would it not make sense for Trotsky to return to France if the Jacobins become dominant in 1936? I believe he was kicked out of France for being the figurehead of the Jacobins, of course a where in the world is Leon Trotsky would be fun.

If Stalin is in as Minister of Security for Georgia then I don't see why Trotsky can't make a cameo or two. He was a lot more charismatic, ostentatious and prolific than Stalin. :p

But he was hated and seen as a failure, while Stalin is a simple minister that nobody knows outside of Georgia.

I thought the Jacobins liked him?

Maybe he can make a cameo in Uruguay as the head of radical left-wing sentiment there? :p

Not that I am aware of. The Jacobins are probably Bolsheviks, but that doesn't mean that the appreciate the man responsibile for the failure of the Bolshevik revolution.

I thought he was a relatively respectable figure (Chairman of the Russian Communisty Party in exile) in the Commune of France before he became something a Jacobin figurehead and so the leader of the CoF kicked him out in 1925?

Considering Uruguay would only exist because of the player... No. :p

I think that Uruguay and Paraguay should probably have a higher likelyhood of emerging, they only lost their independence a few years before the beginning of the game to what many of them no doubt see as a Greater Argentina in all but name.

Short answer: no.

Why? They had been independent nations for generations so why on Earth would the majority of the population of those nations decide that they would be completely happy with inhabiting what is for all intents and purposes a greater Argentina? Indeed to quote the Kaiserpedia "In 1936, La Plata is still facing problems, not least that the people of Paraguay and Uruguay don’t feel any connection to the Union and nationalism is ripe." The Paraguayans would be happy that Argentina protected them from Bolivia but I cannot see why they would be any happier that Argentina annexed them, than if Bolivia had. Uruguay would be unhappy that they were "federated" with La Plata as well.

If you disagree with someone fine, but you could at least show them the respect of offering some sort of reasoning for your disagreement.

Before getting huffy Jam, I think it should be pointed out that (I think at least) AC was answering to the Trotsky point, not the Uruguay one. :)

As KM said, we could just as well have Trotsky get into "People's" ice skating in Sweden. Trotsky made the Revolution fail, and he's going to stay in the dark. He'd act just like Kossuth, in that he'd be fairly Autocratic in exile, and because of it get a nice little gap between him and the other Exiles. Bukharin is the figure of Red Russia, and the Reds would champion him.

As for URU/PAR, please make a separate thread. I do not like thread derailment.
