Can the UK Stop the event that forces you to choose between granting independence to India and Pakistan or not granting independence an receiving 20 dissent and losing all the Indian cores?

Thanks, I've always been rather illiterate when it comes to reading event files.

From the looks of things, the option that will cause me the least pain might be releasing Pakistan shortly before the event fires.
