Can the difficulty be changed or tweaked?

I don't think that the game is extremely difficult but it's definitely challenging and often a little frustrating (for me) to get started on a new map, etc.

Is there any way to change the difficulty?

...or are there any config files (.ini, etc) that can be tweaked to make it easier?

Sometimes I just want to lay back and watch my little people do their thing

As far as i know there is no way to edit difficultity. On the other hand, in majesty 2 , not Kingmaker (anyone knows?¿), you can cheat a little to add you more money so that, in fact, could be seen as downgrading difficultity.

How do you cheat to get more money? I need it 'cause this game is seriously driving me crazy.
