Can someone tell me how to raise the IC of a nation or post a guide on how to.
The one thing about this game that annoys me is that the ICs for starting with are too low, historically the US was producing 45000 tanks a year and i can barely if i max all IC into production make 40-60 divisions of tanks a year

so please someone help me :rolleyes:

The US only had 10 armoured division in the war hsitorically although most divisions had at least light tank support. Remember -- the Sherman (a.k.a Ronson -- the common cigaret lighter at the time ) was the best disposable tank in the war. They gave them to all the Allies. You are correct though, the US IC setting should be ~900 IMHO. The real limitation for the US should be in slowing down the deployment of US divisions for the first 18 months after Pearl. No major offensive mission was done for exactly 9 months after Pearl and even that was with only 2 regiments of a marine division. The US forces in combat were normally near 100% strength though whereas many of the nations did not use replacemants as much as creating new divisions and sending them into battle. The Germans and Russians had hundreds of divisions. Many only really existed on paper after a few years or even months.

If you are playing US, edit the difficulty file in the db folder for human and change the IC from say 0 at the normal setting to 50 or whatever. That will increase human +50% IC for instance. If US is the AI, edit the province folder again in db. Go to say line 606 (Washington) and change the IC number from whatever it is to 99. Change several other cities too. I believe that 99 is the highet setting possible per city. If you are in the game, type f12 and enter showid. Then you can easily see what each province number is when you click on it and what number to change.

BACK UP YOUR ORIGINAL FILES!!!

Can someone please tell me how to add victory points to a province? I added 1 point to id = 1 (Reykjavik) in the vp file in the scenario 1936 folder and it refuses to add it. I would very much appreciate your help.

Did you put it like this:

Code:
province = { id = 1 points = 1 } # Reykjavik
