Can somebody walk me through this?

Right, I want to try EU2 MP. Maybe not one of the "serious" week-long games... whatever. Anyway, I have a clean EU2 1.08. They say everyone uses the betas, but I'm not quite sure how to install/uninstall them. Also I heard they added a strait betweet Calais and Kent, but I can live with that, probably. Back to the techie stuff- I told Windows Firewall to allow EU2 incoming network connections. Whether that placates it I don't know. I am using wireless internet in a network with several computers using one router. It seems I can get onto the Valkyrie net chat thing but there's never anybody there. Can anyone help this newbie?

This just in- I installed the latest beta and now really did stop the firewall from messing with EU2. Should do a bit better now...

everybody plays those long term games you might try to sub in 1if you only wan't to play 1session or try to play a nappy game with those from the nappy comunity

Just get on ICQ and give out you number. After that someone heplful may help you with setting up your connection so that it will work fine etc..
After that, you can play as a sub in the weekly games, and earn enough reliability to be able to play as a perm .

Hmmm. I think I've managed to set up things on my own (but can't be sure since the only game available at the time was private.) And I don't have ICQ, but I'll try and get it. (Free, right?)

Yep it's free. You can download it from www.icq.com. Then a good way of doing stuff is putting the number in your sig as long as you don't mind some seemingly random people adding you (although in my experience most people will only add you for a specific reason).
