So, this isn't a complaint about the time mechanic (as a Dead Rising 1 fan I like it), but before I progress further into the game I just want to get this cleared up.

I was wondering how exactly time effects the game and specifically the quests. Obviously there's only X amount of days until you get the 'you failed to do it in time, game over' but is this the ONLY thing that is effected by time? For example, if I do a handful of side quests, bounce between regions, whatever and the days tick down will I eventually lose others? Or is the only thing dictated by time progressing the Edict?

Cheers.

At worst, it limits the amount of times you can rest (if you want to do all of the sidequests, which is by no means required or even too beneficial). Chances are you won't really notice it. I think I had 40% of the time left in my first playthrough.
