And of course the funny thing about it is that when you don't "see" it because you're so far about the map, and it's just little people that represent hundreds or thousands of people doing all kinds of things like this--and little flying numbers--that it's somehow okay.

Isn't that something?

This game, and games like it, do reward you for doing it.

What's better? To play a game and see the gruesome violence so that there is no doubt what's actually going on, or to play a game and see no blood or anything else grim?

It's like people believe the food we eat just magically appears in little wrappers or boxes.

The world is a violent place, and there's no use putting your head in the sand. The strong thrive and dominate on the weak. That's what nature is all about. Get over it.

dafuq is this shit?
And why are you quoting Goebbels in your sig?

Holy crap man, that guide is wonderfully detailed and thoroughly executed.

Seriously, thanks so much! Sadly, I'm almost touching 1600 as my England game! Got Scotland, but lost a battle against France, and I was in so much debt I had to peace out and give away some provinces :(

Since then however, I've taken about 4 provinces (forcing several coalition wars...) and a bunch other, as well as becoming the dominant colonial power!

I shall use that in future games though, thanks!

Parallel Pain's guide is good. In my current England game I tried to follow it but clearly not as good as he. I had to use mercs and some loans (12!) to PU France, but in the end it was worth it.

I do the usual evac, then build 20 cots and just land a 35 man force everywhere they siege. This way their stacks get instant wiped with no losses if they are 4k and less. My problem is always that I can't do it fast without loosing a lot of manpower. If you are cool with slow and steady then you can win without losing too much manpower with the siege wiping, if you wanna do it fast, you will have to engage at some point and hope you win. Also check Burgundy's mission, if it isn't vassalize "someone" they will often start a war against france once their forces are sufficiently reduced and kill their entire army for you.
