When i try and launch game it says installing windows net framework and the crashes to desktop. Has anyone else encountered this?

Yeah.. I had the same problem. A missing DLL file. IT has to do with running the 64 bit version without the 64bit VC++ redistributable installed. The fix that worked for me was to go to my steam folder--> Steam\SteamApps\common\sword of the stars ii\msvc2010sp1 and run the 64bit redistributable from there. Hope it helps
