Ok, I am a total computer moron. I just bought hearts of Iron 4 from the paradox site. I can not download or play game. My account shows I bought the game and I am logged in. what did I do wrong?

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
If you click "Manage" on the game where it's shown in your account, it'll give you the Steam key for your purchase. Then just go to the Steam launcher, click on "Add a Game" in the bottom left hand corner and click on "Activate a Product on Steam". Then you paste in the Steam key when prompted and the game will download.
And if you bought HOI4 without a Steam account it's not the end of the world, should be quick to set one up and install the launcher.
