Can Norse-Gaelic raid?

I'm playing as norwegian king of the isles and am considering converting culture to norse-gaelic... but i want to keep raiding... is there a list of the cultures that can raid?

Looks like Gall Gaidheal are allowed to raid, checking 00_cultures.txt they have allow_looting = yes and seafarer = yes. It would be interesting to see a list of HIP/SWMH cultures like the list of vanilla ones on the wiki, showing who has what effects, especially with both English and non-English localisation names for reference.

A related question: Is there a difference between the Housecarl and the Gallowglass retines? Norse-Gaels can recruit both but they seem identical (250 heavy infantry).

If I am reading the code correctly they are indeed indentical in all but name:

They're effectively the same.

But it's a bug that you see two cultural retinues. @caocao268 will resolve this ASAP.

all tribes can Raid. Just as long as your tribal you can even Be Irish and raid your English friends across the water. Doesn't matter what Religion. AT lest it shouldn't. The Irish were famous for Raiding the English coast lines.

Indeed religion doesn't matter, in my game i'm constantly raiding my catholic brothers, the only problem is that if you raid a bishopric you lose 50 prestige...
