Can navies bombard ports and damage the ships based there?

I know carriers can port strike, I find this very useless. Naval bombers work much better.


However I was wondering in I pick Shore Bombardment will it damage the enemy ships in the port?

Also what about damaging instalations or airfields?

Sorry, but you can do that in the original hoi2 (and all expansions)

Right-click over enemy port, Port strike. You will destroy the port and the ships. To destroy airfields, right-click, airport strike

I misworded that I think.

I was refering to Naval "Ship" Bombardment. When I pick "Shore Bombardment" will it also attack enemy fleets in the province that also has a port.

Hi all,

I`d like an explanation how my ships can bombard enemy harbours and ships there too. IIRC I myself was bombarded by the AI a few times.
