Surely it is better to build all the CIC you’ll ever build before building any MIC.
I disagree. There is a balance to be found.

The sooner you put an MIC into service the sooner it starts production and the sooner it reaches full efficiency. If you build only MIC, as many advocate, then the rate of them gradually slows down depending on the rate of consumer goods (and the need for more imports). If you build nothing but CIC for a year or two then you are missing too much production time. Balance is important.

I build enough CIC so that the rate of my MIC construction does not slow down. This includes some CIC to cover imports. Once I am approaching the time when I will start gaining CIC through conquest then I stop building more. This varies depending on the nation you are playing of course. As Germany I said that I keep CIC in the rotation until the end of 38. That is because I never play such that I allow Germany the easy way out by conquering a few countries at the beginning of the game. I follow the historical track more or less. By mid to late 38 Austria and the Czechs have given me enough extra CIC to keep my military expanding at a steady rate.

Just go to a MP game.
It will be very very hard for a game to pass 1940.

Huh? You must be allowing war to start in 1936 or something. Most MP games I know of force historical so Ger vs. SOV doesn't even start till 1941.

Most my games start at 39. By 40 its decided.
I only play games with TS and Rules.

My last one ended in june 1939 with war starting at sept 38. USSR, ended the moment i attacked the germans as they where too busy in france.

My other one yesterday with US ended in early 41 only because i was only allowed to join the war in june 1940. Before that only leand lease. As soon i got into the war, 40 width 40 troops into japan and it was over.

Most good games, and most good Axis teams do not even start the war till mid 1939;furthermore, the house rules should not allow war till 1939. ( Danzig)

If you are playing something else, even though it's TS + Rules, it's probably shit game + shit host rules ( not offense).

I have been there before, currently have around 1015h of MP and I can tell that the games you play must not be as good.

There should also be a rule that doesn't allow the Sov Vs Axis war till 1940-1941. This gives time to the Axis and Soviets to prepare, also for the USA to build up.

I do not know why in your game a Germany coudn't break france for 1 year. France should easily fall in weeks/month(s). Otherwise you might need to vet your germanies more.
