So I'm just playing around in the txt. file, and I've given my province a ridiculous levy size boost. But I've noticed that everytime I raise my levies I essentially go bankrupt within a few weeks. Is there a modifier of some sort, that reduces the cost of levy upkeep, something like Levy_upkeep_cost = or something of the sort. I could just give myself a substantial tax income boost, but I don't want to do that as that would be too easy and kind of break the immersion for me.

Any tips? Thanks

levy_maintenance_factor

If you search for other 'maintenance' lines, you can change the individual maintenance of specific troop types.

Indeed I could do that, but that would break the game as well. I only want to attribute the bonus to a single holding. But It seems it's not possible within the game mechanics. I guess I'll try to mod it in myself.

Oh, sorry, I must have misread that. I don't think there's a levy maintenance modifier in the game, and I couldn't find one on the wiki. If you have retinues, that becomes easy; set up a retinue type with "potential = { ai = no }" and "maintenance_multiplier = 0.1", as well as a low hire cost. If you want to keep it levies, I think you can also set up a low maintenance special troop only accessible through buildings that can't be built by the AI, but unless you also make maintenance events to remove them when no longer held by you they'll stick around.
