I really dont care for censoring of AH and the Flag. I would even be happy about it, that I dont have to watch his face when playing germany ( Shouldn´t there be a option to censor that in every version ?! )

But I am from germany and living now in Poland for business reasons and surely until the next year.
So if I buy the game now in Poland over Steam, can I play it in the future also in Germany ?

When I was on the Steam Store site to preorder there was absolutely no warning about anything.

Read the "German Version FAQ" for more information.

But yes,as long as the game is bought outside of Germany, you will get the international version, regardless of where you play afterwards.

This is not entirely true.

- What if my American friend buy a key and send it to me, living in Germany?
- Steam will tell you that the product isn't available in your region.

The international version cannot be activated in Germany.
You need to buy AND activate the game on a polish/etc steam account and then you can play with the international version in Germany.

Ah thanks, didnt knew that there is a FAQ.
My question is answered in :

- What if I buy the game in the US, install it and move to Germany?
- Nothing happens. You will have the same game that you had before moving to Germany.

So yes, we can play with the international version in germany

In that case you could just ask your friend from the US to login with your acc and activate it ?!

In my case I live outside of Germany, so I can buy and activate it, so no problem. I just feared that I cant play it later if I will be in Germany

I think he was referring to buying the game himself.

Basically steam offers 3 possible solutions for blocking a game in a country:

1. You can't buy it in germany, but you can activate the international key in germany (e.g. Dying Light)

2. You can't buy it in germany and you can't activate your international key in germany, but you can download and play it in germany if you activated it in another country (e.g. South Park the stick of truth)

3. You can't buy it in germany and you can't activate your international key in germany, and even if you activate your key in another country you can't download and play it in germany (even if it's already installed) (e.g. Wolfenstein)

So which one is it for HOI IV? It seems to be No. 2 but I'm still not sure.
