So, SF is just live on GG. Can i copy the GG-Version over my Steamversion of HOI3 without any compatibly problems ?
If you just make sure that game doesn't launches from the steam program, but from the game's exe, shouldn't it work as intended?![]()
To risky, i understand that. I wait until SF is going live on Steam, maybe today ?
Just curious, why wasn't SF available as a pre-order through Steam?
In case it doesn't work, i would suggest trying extracting the expansion files to a desktop folder, and then manually copying them into the game's folder. Hopefully it would act like a mod being installed replacing original files.
It worked fine for me by the way. But I would still be cautious to do this.
I took and created a new folder...
c:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron III\
And then copied everything from my Steam game folder to the new folder.
The Steam folder was...
c:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\hearts of iron 3\
Then I downloaded and installed the Semper Fi expansion from Gamers Gate and directed it to install it in the new folder.
Also, this way, if something went wrong I was still able to place from my steam copy.
Oh, and I also took and created a shortcut to the hoi3game.exe file from the new folder on my desktop.
Pretty sure this is what I did- but I can't even run the installer. It keeps telling me HOI3 is not installed.
Hm, I've been making a HOI3 folder in the Program Files x86, but there's already one in Program Files- I'll try copying the steam files in there and seeing what happens. I'm replacing all the files that overlap...

Personally, is SF working for you now or not ?
