So very first Paradox strategy game i played was HOI3. I had no idea what to do. But luckily, i could let AI handle most of it and experiment with features one by one. That is what let me play the game, and why it took so long for me to start playing Victoria 2, and why i still don't play it much. In EU4 and CK2 mechanics are so good that it is not a problem to learn- but there are still mechanics that i don't really care about. Like intelligence, i have never cared about it and likely never will. Could i just please ignore part of the game i don't want to waste time on, and let AI handle it. It takes nothing away expect development time. If i only want to command my armies and ignore intelligence, can i please do that without shooting myself in the foot.
Even in CK2 and EU4 there are constantly stuff i hope i could just ignore. I still enjoy 99% of the game, why do i have to do stuff that i don't enjoy without shooting my foot? Limping gives me undesirable trait, coalitions are formed against me, my population gets +2 militancy and revolt risk is increased by 3%. I don't want that...I just want to enjoy 99% of the game i do love.
