I'm playing as protestant Brandenburg/Prussia, and the protestant league formed and the league war started while I was at war with Austria who are the emperor. This means I never had the opportunity to join the league or the war. If I make peace in my current war can I then in any way join the league war or have i missed out? I am defender of the faith of that matters.

Become an ally of the protestant warleader. They should call you in if the AI thinks you would join. (I think).
Possibly, but since I'll have a truce with Austria the warleader won't think I'll be willing to swallow the stability hit.

no you cant, but if there is no catholic victory, you can take part at war 2
I guess I should keep stomping on Austria face til the league war ends in a protestant victory then. A bit sad, since this is the secodn game in a row I miss the league war.

You can also pick off any league members that you happen to have CBs on. Its glorious. I turned a good sized chunk of the HRE orthodox in my most recent play through. Too bad the protestants still won, foiling my hopes for a Byzantine HRE. Oh well.
