As an axis nation, can I free Brittany from France and release it as a sovereign country like it should have happened, had Hitler not been an asshole?

Check the riots we caused over the past couple of years. Look at last year's ''tour de france" in Brittany (not a single French flag, but tens of thousands of Breton flags vvisible every day) ...
and anyway, back in 1939; a delegation of Breton patriots though that a French defeat would help the country retrieve its freedom They went to Berlin to plead their cause and it seemed like they had been heard... Unfortunately, they had no idea of how treacherous Hitler was and they were decieved....

You can only free nations with foreing claims, for example, Croatia do not exist in 1936 but has claims in some Yguslavians lands, in this case you can release croatia in a peace conference...
Hearts of iron is a game that happens between 1936 and 1948. And I can assure you that back then there were not such problems. Brittany was even choosen by the french high command to do somekind of last stand after the fall of Paris. That plan was aborted, but do you think some general would plan to settle the heart of a national resistance in a higly german-friendly region ? Or while people there didn't want to defend their country and would like to support the enemy in order to be free once more ? I don't think so.
Also consider the number of men Brittany sent in both world wars. As far as I remember, there were studies prooving it was the french region sending the biggest percentage of its total population to fight. So it would be very strange to see a massiv support from the population for what you want.
Perhaps today it could happen. Perhaps. But it still wouldn't get a big support from the population. Af far as I know, my dear compatriot, separatists are, even today a minority. And we, the guys who do not wish independance, we're nonetheless proud of our culture, and history, we like it, we will not forget it. Using our old flag during feasts or Le Tour de France do not mean anything, there are today a lot of regions using ancient flags, some coming from the middle-age during various events. And they're not looking for independance.
Ha ha ha, yes that's why we got so much different regional cultures and so much separatist movements, because we destroyed every culture we met. Ho wait.

I was just asking if freeing Brittany (but also any other nation) was an option in the game. I do not wish to start a debate with you , this is not the place and will result in this thread to be blocked,but I firmly respectfuly disagree with you

I see no reason you can't mod it in.
That being said, I thought your thread title was a reference to the French Resistance liberating Brittany more or less by themselves while the rest of the Allies were busy pushing out from Normandy and going east. Which I also look forward to supporting.

Honestly there are plenty of options for new country creations that were a bit more realistic... Ukraine for example.

now we do because we have been forced to. Peolpe like my grandârents, for exemple, were beaten by their teachers for speaking breton in school.. In the past, only the Nantes/Rennes/Saint Malo areas were French speaking

They did have plenty of example to go by at that point. Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands and Belgium, so no I don't buy thatI believe this is what is called 20/20 hindsight
I would call that wishful thinking though. The only example I can think of that happening with Germany in WW2 was Croatia, which happened afterwards.
