Can anyone give me some tips on how to creat a civil war mod?

I want to create a new country and the divide the U.S. in half, can anyone give me some basic pointers as to how I should do that?

There are an event i HOI for USA, called The revolution has come.
When you are playing as USA in HOI, if you're dissent rise to over 60% (I think) there will come an event wich says The Revolutin has come, and USA becomes Socialist or Communist.

I got an idea here the other day wich I tought was kind of cool.
What is the event was changed, so instead of a regime change in the USA, the CSA: Confederate States of America, broke free from the USA. It would have to be a sort of facist regime in the CSA and the USA would have to declare war on the CSA.

Any opinions on matter???

I have been farting around with HOI trying to make a HOI scenario infulenced by the Turtledove books inwhich the confederates are a larege and perhaps facist power in north america. Ofcourse this proved to be a far greater undertaking then my british commonwealth mod. *laugh*

anyways if anyone is interested let me know.

Have you looked at The American Empire Mod. Appears to be dead for now but they did have an alpha version for download back in January.
