Calvinism often more successful than Protestantism now. The solution? Anglicanism.

Damn you, you ruined my fantasies about elephants running presidential campaigns.

Well, the Republican Party does use the elephant as a mascot.

In all seriousness, there should be an Anglican religion with a few quirks. The two major ways to abuse it in game would be the holy war CB, and the enforce religion decision on the peace menu/HRE decision. To this end there should be some barriers to prevent abuse, since the Anglican faith was not widely practiced outside of England and her colonies. To this end, I suggest that the Anglican Faith be treated IN CODE like Protestantism. It would be unable to use the holy war CB on regular protestants, and if religion was enforced in the HRE, that prince would become protestant. Why, because the Anglican faith is an offshoot from Protestantism, yet is practiced only in England/colonies.

Perhaps another thing is that Anglicanism should have a very low conversion power against heretics, unless one would take the Religious idea group. It would have to depend mostly on the center of religion in London, as well as those ten years to convert everything. Why, because after the initial conversion to Anglicanism, the church had a hard time weeding out the heretics in England, in part leading to the events of the English Civil War. This would also further discourage English mass conversion of Europe, unless they took the religious idea group, which would make the mass conversions make sense.

Without meaning any disrespect, I believe that although Anglicanism was an interesting part of history and it had certain after effects, it was not THAT big or did any major shake downs in the political and religious arena. Especially compared to the Protestant reformation and its after shocks.

Perhaps instead of modeling an entirely new faith, that will create mechanical and balance problems (yes I know that the notion of balance is ridiculous in this game but imagine a whole Anglican europe for example without England having conquered it), not the least to say historical, they can instead create a set of Unique English decisions that could be enacted if England goes protestant and certain criteria are met.
