ORIGNAL POST: This is a "Calling Message" for BATTLETECH's Friday Night Fights (FNF.) While I will be Emceeing the event from here in our Multi-player Section of the forum, this thread will be posted to the Main Forum, in accordance with my discussion with @Havamal, to inform Main Forum viewers of the FNF event and any specifics of this particular Friday's Event. And then over the weekend, I'll provide a wrap up of each week's Event.

First off! You are each cordially invited to our Third BATTLETECH Friday Night Fights (FNF) starting tonight at midnight (EDT.). Feel free to drop by and join us on the FNF Channel on the BATTLETECH Unofficial Discord Server.

And since it is now past 6:00pm Friday Night on Christmas Island, just West of the International Dateline and in the famous words of Mitch's Lord Commander...

"MechWarriors, MOUNT UP!"

Friday Night first settles into place for our fellow Oceanic BATTLETECH gamers, so I suggest beginning 6:00pm (GMT+10 or thereabouts) so Friday Night our Oceanic Gamers kick off some BATTLETECH gaming that will roll across the globe bringing Big and Stompy goodness to one and ALL. I'll be dropping into our BATTLETECH Game Lobby through out the day on Friday 31 August, starting with Oceanic's "Friday Night," then making it a point to come back during the Asian, Euro and Americas "Friday Nights" as well.

Tonight I will be running our BATTLETECH Lance Commander Academy. The Academy curriculum will again include the following:
BATTLETECH 101 Lance Composition ~ explore tailoring a Lance to a desired play style
BATTLETECH 201 The BATTLETECH Stability System and YOU ~ mitigate against being Knocked Down, and explore tactics to Knock Down your opponent
BATTLETECH 301 Jump Cavalry: Fire and Mobility ~ BATTLETECH's TacSIM breaths Big and Stompy Life into Cavalry Tactics. Explore whether "Jump and Gun" is for you.
BATTLETECH 401 FULL UP COMPETITIVE GAME but with Talk-Through ~ we play an actual 20m Stock Match, but I'll freely provide an in-game running commentary and discussion of my Intentions, Tactics, Schemes of Maneuver and Combat Choices.

Tonight we will release an update version of the Unofficial HBS BATTLETECH Tournament Leaderboard. This Leaderboard will be joined by a "Top 50" Leaderboard for the Inner Sphere Wars BATTLETECH League. As well as a "Top 100" BATTLETECH Multiplayer Leaderboard that is a combination of both the Tournament and League Leaderboards.

Earlier this week we saw the conclusion of Valhalla's Tournament of Champions. A physical prize will be awarded to the Tournament Champion.

Of course. And you need not wait for Friday Night Fights (FNF) to try the Academy, just PM me and we'll try to coordinate the match whenever is more convenient for you.

And FNF is open to EVERYONE. No ranking on an Unofficial BATTLETECH Leaderboard is required.

And I am not the only one who has offered to run some Q&A/"Show and Tell" BATTLETECH matches. Just jump on in the FNF Discord Channel and ask for some help, games on the HBS BATTLETECH Unofficial Discord Server are really very friendly, courteous and helpful toward anyone looking to learn more about BATTLETECH Multi-player. @Mechwarrior Horus, @OathOfFealty and @Ozymandious are each great ambassadors from the discord and BATTLETECH Community. :bow:

Eck is most definitely our Community's "Gold Standard." He jumped on in to our Multi-player Community with both feet and that means a lot. I did have a chance to watch the Eck's stream a couple of hours ago and was indeed wondering if you had watched as Twitch's "BubbsanPrime." Good to see you, Good Sir. : )

For our weekly wrap up: Our Third BATTLETECH Friday Night Fights (FNF) was an unqualified success.

HBS_Eck was able to drop by and catch a match with a fan. While I did offer three times to let anyone else in the FNF Discord channel have the match with Chris... it was not too many heartbeats past that third offer, that I stepped up and accepted the honor. Thank you Chris, that match has proven to be the highlight of the entire FNF-series for me. :bow:

We also released the next round of Leaderboards. This time I introduced a brand-new Leaderboard for Inner Sphere Wars League Play as well as a combined Leaderboard that takes into account both Tournaments and the ISW League Play.



If you get a chance, come out and join us at any time during this next 32-hour BATTLETECH Friday Night Fights Event.

Welcome the the fifth installment of our BATTLETECH Friday Night Fights (FNF)!

I'll be "forum-emceeing" a fair portion of the next 32-hours of Big Stompy BATTLETECH gameplay.

Why 32-hours, some of our newest viewers might ask? We begin FNF as 6pm Firday Night hits the International Date Line deep in the Pacific Ocean. We then continue to follow the 6pm to Midnight span of time that is designated as "Friday Night" as it races across the globe, through one Time Zone after another. So 24-hours plus the 6-hour even plus the International Date Line is anything but a "straight" line in the Pacific ~ all this combines to make FNF a 32-hour Event.

So for the next 32-hours it will be a Big Stompy BATTLETECH "Friday Night" somewhere in the world. : )

In a way, this is quite like the song:
