was actually typing up a reply on reddit about this one, but noticed you had posted here, so thanks!

this might be something about threat shifting italian AI from not wanting to help Germany to really wanting to. Italy should either have gotten in to help much earlier, or stayed out for this to feel good to the player. Although from a "win over player" point of view its a good move since it forces you to occupy rather than annex for the rest of the war.

If italy was in the faction at next day tick but not called in the war its also very wierd if they didnt surrender here...

Do you happen to have a save, kinda where you start that video? Will cut down time to look into it a lot and make all the difference.

My thinking here is strictly blockign this for capitulated nations might open up exploits in long wars (if they take back berlin etc), and its also wierd that italy didnt join earlier if they wanted to. So might showcase several odd things, or its a wierd timing issue and its WAD, but I dont think so.

Given time I MIGHT be able to recreate it on a normal save. it didn't seem too hard considering everything that happened. Just have to hope that the AI plays ball.

would that work or do I have to hope lady luck plays balls?

it depends on how situational this is. could be that it happens often, or not... :S

Edit: also, sorry. I admittedly didn't know if the Reddit was overseen by staff at Paradox so I thought if I asked on there for verification before I brought it here then it's better then bringing something here that isn't actually a glitch or issue

I take a peek once in a while. but its not a good place to post bug reports, that is handled here
