I'm wondering why isn't there an option to call ally even if they won't accept. When I'm being called I actualy have a choice and can dissolve alliance this way. Can't do it when I make a call. Is ally asking me to join war based on the scoring system used by ai?

Why would you want to call an ally who wont accept? It used to be an option but was rather pointless and potentially harmful if you accidentally ticked the box when you had no intention of calling that ally losing you a potentially important alliance.

I've always assumed the scoring system is used by the AI, when calling the player into offensive wars. Otherwise I'd be called into a lot more wars, and wars in the New World etc. Defensive call to arms is always automatic for everyone though.

For example when I don't want this alliance any more. Then it would my ally and not me loosing prestige (or stability, can't remember).

This was actually how it used to be in some game version long ago, and the method of choice for dissolving alliances. Clearly deemed too much of an exploit of game mechanics.

Then you just dissolve it like normal, there's no penalty to do that.

Heh, I think I've mistaken it with breaking royal ties ;) well, I think there still should be an option,

I've always assumed the scoring system is used by the AI, when calling the player into offensive wars. Otherwise I'd be called into a lot more wars, and wars in the New World etc. Defensive call to arms is always automatic for everyone though.

Thanks for info :)
