Call to Arms Question

Hi. Have 300 hours in CK 2 but not played it in over two years and seem to have forgotten a lot and a lot has changed . Have all the expansions.

Am playing as castille and have declared war on the sunni for toledo. Have no alliances. For some reason i thought i could call to arms Leon and Galacia as I remember this from when i last played it. This is a holy war of course.

I cant find how to do the CTA and am clearly missing something or you cant do this. Any help

Things have changed a bit in the last couple years. You now need to make specific alliances, usually through marriage, but some by event, that allow you to call them to arms.

You are probably remembering when members of your dynasty could always be called in as allies. This was changed in 2.5.x so now you need to actively form alliances. Most of the time you need marriage, but in the case of close kin you can just ask them to form an alliance with you, no marriage needed.
