Edit: I am against 2 players alliance limit as me as a little country will no longer be able to be protected well. Unfair for little countries like Holland and me and good for big like Spain and France. You always seem to advantage the big even more.

there you get it Wrong !; the CC, ... ect rule is VERY VERY good for small country's ... (with the extra ruling) :eek: how can you not see ?

Ok; I agree the prov thing in europe is kinda weird; and majbe unbalancing.

So another proposal could be;

CC= 1
Shipyards= 1
Fortress uprgade to LARGE = 1
Fortress upgrade to MIGHTY = 0.5
Fortress upgrade to MAX = 0.5

Every nation gets a fixed amount of credits: about 12 or something ...

This would be for europe;

the colonies just get one allowed to MAX; and one allowed shipyard;
And 20 percent of the provs give points ... World devided in regions.

but i think oe conquered it in one of the first session from golden horde, not versus russian ai. it should be still turkish. but im little unsure. what do you think?

we could probably skip the creation of Prussia but I would see the 2 p alliance be a good suggestion towards a alliance with France, England, Spain and Austria...etc, you know what I mean.

Im really not up for these new rules at all. I know i just started this game but i strongly believe that rules should be made at the start. I hope you will reconsider these anti dutch restictions on ccs and alliances. Clearly they are worse for smaller nations as noone will want to ally them and ccs are essesntial to dutch high tech / low man power situation.

Ill take a look at the final draft of these rules when they are finished and decide whether i want to continue. I dont want to be a bitch about it but youll have plenty of time to find a new regular if i do leave.

The 2 player MAX per alliance; is only to avoid uber alliances; Netherlands can be quite strong; and I think you already are strong with all your income from trade ... I might ally portugal only because I think she can come in handy with her navy; You should ally France or at least be on good terms with her and ally england or sweden or spain or whatever.

when you ally someone it doesn't mean youre not able to do diplomacy with the other ;)

Well by that reasoning you wont stop uber alliances at all will you? People will use unofficial alliances to form power blocks or whatever.

Resticting alliances has been proven not to work in all the games its been used in. You just have to rely on the players to manage balance themselves. Crude restictions dont work.

Resticting alliances has been proven not to work in all the games its been used in. You just have to rely on the players to manage balance themselves. Crude restictions dont work.

Offcourse ... you are absolutely right; but I think I find 4 2 player alliances a little better then 2 3 player alliances; more fluid and little less uber-like.

And offcourse you have to play with good players; and I think I won't gangbang or make uber alliances myself ...

Regions;
Europe = one region; Everybody gets a fixed amount of "things"
Colonies = get 20 percent of total provs; each region gets ONE MAX fortress and ONE shipyard minimum; if a region surpasses 3 (15 provs) Points its can have more. Remember that Colonies CANT have CC's; hardcoded in the game ...

*Africa
*India (and persia; oman)

*Australia and new zeeland

I don't get it wrong. The two players alliance rule is really bad. Nobody would like to ally with small countries like Portugal and Netherlands because they are just militarily too weak. So maybe I would end allying Netherlands and we still could be beaten by Spain or France alone.

Yes; but we need to be nice players and RP our game a bit ... I have the intention of allying you majbe; because I would like a nice game; And I hope other would to; but we decided I think on 3; but nice and fluid alliances ...
