Call For Jurors

Attention citizens:

The Ministry of Immigration and Law Enforcement is currently seeking a pool of potential jurors to sit on a Grand Jury for an upcoming trial.

Jurors are expected to remain fair and impartial, and to weigh the evidence presented to determine if the accused deserve to be indicted. (OOC: That is, we are having a hearing to determine if there is enough evidence to charge certain individuals with a crime.)

This trial is NOT to determine guilt or innocence, only to determine if there needs to be an additional trial. This is not a trial to determine if there is enough evidence to convict the accused, only whether there is enough evidence to merit a trial.

Not all jurors who apply will be selected. After a certain number enter the pool, the actual jurors will be chosed by random lot. Anyone selected for jury duty will receive a modest compensation for their time.

We will close the pool for the current trial pending at the end of the day tomorrow and select jurors. Other citizens are still invited to submit their name for future trials (of which we might see a few ).
