Currently, the Calamitous Birth origin added in Lithoids is a little.. underpowered.
Subterranean is objectively better due to uncapped mineral districts, honestly.
Calamitous Birth adds blockers for pops, but it doesn't do anything to contribute to Lithoids directly, such as increasing minerals or anything.
My suggestion is simple;
Make the Lithoid Crater planet modifier from the Lithoid Meteorite Colony Ship give:
+ Mining Districts to the planet
+ Minerals from jobs
This origin currently just adds blockers to the planet, and even with the Arctic/Cold world mineral bias, you aren't guaranteed to have enough minerals to actually do anything.
Which is why I've made this suggestion, I've left out numbers because that should be decided upon by people who actually do balancing.
