The implementation of cadet-branches is pretty neat. However, I find it difficult to grasp the concept. It does make sense, historically spoken, to have certain influenctual members of a dynasty sort off form their own, new, "cadet" branche.
In my first HIP campaign, I experienced it to be a bit... too much. Basically everytime I granted a family member a plot of land, it created a cadet-branche out of nowhere within a couple of years. *Boom*, my family lost another county/duchy. *Boom*, my dynasty suddenly lost 25% of it's total dynasty members. *Boom*, now my inheritance backup is gone.
Said dynasty members didn't do anything magnificient, owned solely a county/duchy, and usually were the exact same persons who got granted a plot of land in the first place.
Who can elaborate on how this function actually works?
