Why is there no alternative to annex the sovjets? To say: No peace! Rommels on the drive to Vladivostok and we have lost communication with him.

I think you can choose the policy for that at the point where you start the Barbarossa offensive. you can choose the Himmler-option and enslave them all, or the other Schulenberg, or Ribbentrop, to make puppet states. Did you get both Ukraine and Russia and Belarussia into existence ? If you do, they will be puppets after some time... you just had to wait, but I guess it's to late now.

Heh, the cyanide capsule was a popular little thing during the epoch, the easiest way is, as always - a pistol. Hmm, historians being a bit unclear but Hitler's secretary said most people there went with the cynide.

Are you sure? Aren't we talking about the "Commander Assassinated by Enemy Commandos" event? Well if it is something else then it probably is CORE

I'm playing my first CORE game, as a neutral country, and just seeing how things play out. I'm not sure if this is the normal course of events or just my wacky game, but Germany seems much more careful about provoking other countries. They have gone with the "back off" option in several events, and when it came to Sept. 39 and Danzig or War, they chose back off again! Now it's Jan 1940 and the war hasn't even started yet!

The random factor just played a trick on you and you can rest assured that war will still come eventually when the allied war entry reaches 100%

Im playing a game in CORE 0.83mp, Im Germany with 5 other players, USA, UK, Ita, Jap, USSR. I have managed to succesfully invade the UK and control London, and all of the UK except the norther few provinces which i will soon. I have vinchy fracne as well. Wondering when the new order west events will fire.

Ive read something about having to control Egypt as well to get them to fire, is this true. I read the events in the events file and they dont mention this. The main triggers seem to be to control Paris and London. Then there is a 15% chance of them firing every 10 days.

Is there anything else i need to do, plz let me know.

I have a question...I'm a totally newbe in this game and just sign in the forum for the first time. I use Germany and i have succesfully invaded the Russia. But i was wondering how many terrotories i must conquer to make a puppet nation? It's a LAn game where i'm the only on side of Assis. The other control USA UK and Russia. Which territories i must conquer? I hope Not Vladivostok it would be impossible.

in order to puppet any country you must control the capital, 2/3 of all victory points(easly overlooked in the ledger), and you must outnumber the nation you wish to puppet at least 2/1 in land units on their turf.

welcome to the forum, you'll find that its full of people eager to help.

Every independent nation with at least one province controlled must always have a capital, it's where supply is traced from. In other words you cannot control another nations capital ;) so just bring up the ledger and check what VP provinces the USSR controls. Take provinces with VPs and just disregard the capital location :)

Just a thought

I saw an event in Stony Road that I feel should be implemented in CORE as well. The event that I'm talking about is the Spanish Civil War Event where Germany sends Nationalist Spain the Condor Legion.

Believe, obey, fight!-Benito Mussolini

i have the same problem. In 1939 i Take the Sweden and i make a convoy Malmo-Rostok. This avoid lots of sussessive problem. To tell the truth i made this because with my IC production (780 with 10% dissens) my problem until i dont get the industrial tecnology is the coal. I think that if you make the "Sea Lion", conquering the UK, you will also avoid the problem of Steel. May I ask you how you make the first 3 years (1936-1939) with the Core, i mean if you make industries, if you dont and where.
Hope it will help.

thanks for the advice, but my problem is that I've got both Britisch home isles (besides Belfast) and the whole middle east and most of Afrika, and still not enough steel to fuel my industries,

obviously I've done something wrong. The only time I can work at 100% industrial capacity is when I take an enemy capital,

and those dreaded US bombers I can't even touch them. My fighters won't attack them

An excellent idea

I just thought of a great series of events to add to Germany. Historically the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem was invited to Berlin, and was a personal guest of Hitler's throught much of the war. It was with the Grand Mufti's support for the Axis that the Muslim divisions in Bosnia was formed for the Waffen SS, and thousands of other Muslims and Arabs joined the Axis cause. I think that this should be represented in the game, maybe a choice for Germany to have the Mufti come to Berlin, and if you pick let him come, then the next set of choices will pop up some time later. These choices could be to support Islam and the Arab people, and this when the creatian of the Bosnian Muslim Waffen SS Division event comes into play. And if the Germans and Italians roll through the Mid East more events should pop up for the forming of more Arab and Muslim divisions, this would require some imagination as to the names though. And events could pop up to free Jerusalem and Amman from the British. So a Palestinian Country and Jordanian Country must be created. And after this it would be decided to continue letting Jews immigrate to Palestine or not, as in history the Germans, before the outbreak of war, trained some Jews in farmind and sent them to Palestin via the Balkans and Turkey. If you choose to send them there, then you would receive a dissent hit, and a possible uprising in your Palestinian puppet state. But this is all just speculation, as youns might decide to never include any of these events. If so, post an answer, and I will start researching the subject more. I have plenty of info on the Mufti and his support for the Axis, but it is at my house on my computer, and I'm on my sisters at the moment.

As Germany, I typically select a path of countries through the balkans that will give me a connection to one of turkey's provinces, and attack those countries before 39 if I can. The experience you get there helps later on too. Then, redeploy the majority of your troops back to their original positions near poland and france/low countries. As the typical timescale goes, attack poland and france as usual, and as you fight through the european war, reinforce the troops near turkey and the SU. When the war with the russians comes, begin to take turkey, and concentrace a signifigant force there. From that point, you can take the russian's oil fields, the middle east, and begin advancing towards afghan. and india. A good mechanized sweep around 43 or so should make this only a matter of moving your troops forward and holding with infantry until the line moves back. Air support is necessary as the mountains all along this path can create nice fortresses for retreating enemy forces. by the time you get this far, your resources will have had 2 major influxes. 1st from france, poland, lux, ect. And the 2nd from the middle east and europe, plus whatever countries you can manage along the way. The bonus is that your overall resources will increase in many ways along this route, as the extra oil helps the rubber problem until you get to vietnam/sri lanka, and the entire route has pockets of steel and coal to help in general. overall, it will more than supply your resource problems, and the extra bits of IC will more than help make up for the troops you're pulling away from other fronts. For me, by the time I hooked up with Japan it was 44 or 45. This was in the latest CORE on intermediate I believe. I'm still playing that game now, about to attack america from both coasts in massive simultaneous troop movements. I hope you can pull something helpful from that to work the resource issue
