In the next version practically all terrain/weather values will be the same as in vanilla HoI except for night/moutain/urban/river (for all players) and shore attack (for the AI). What's more, modification is conducted via technology, not via inc file, so it affects all the countries, not only those present at the start of scenario.

Is there presently any work a round for this bug, it is horribly screwing up my game. I can't attack any desert provinces (didn't check Defense) and that's making it somewhat difficult to go anywhere, especially since Russia broke thru my line in the Caucusus and landed in a desert province. The night attack bug I don't have much of a problem with, it basically makes it so I don't need to worry about attacking at night. But the desert bug is making this saved game completly unplayable, since it only seems to be applied to me.

Should I just edit the human tech to counter balance it? I'm getting -480. I'm thinking I'll do that for now.

OK, so I just tested this and it appears that Armor is OK, I'm not sure if it was OK before I did the fix or not. However Mot is still broken in desert when you do this trick, I'm thinking about possibly just putting in 999 and seeing what happens. But for now I'll just probably use some Armor.

I had a related issue. Playing GER with CORE 8.1 and HOI 1.6 I annexed Turkey and went on to invade Iraq. Afrer a few weeks I had fought my way down to Basra. In the middle of the Iraqi's last stand, on Dec 5 an event fired and Iraq left the Allies. All her provinces were restored, we were at peace, and my motorised divisions were left without supply or fuel in southern Iraq.

About the Iraq thing, the same thing happened to me too with Egypt. They were at war with the Allies, Allied to the Allies, war with the Axis, and Allied with the Axis, this happened twice and is very strange seeing a "invinicble" nation :rofl:

Seems like in your game something prevented that. I guess you (as Germany) were holding all Finland territories (and they were marked as occupied, with German grey), when event triggered?

That's exactly what happened. They didn't accept the first peace demand, so I drove into the urals and they accepted the second bitter peace. I had cleared out Finland and made it completly grey. I find that odd though. I wonder if there is any way to mod that event to fix that problem.

I'm not 100% up on the command language. What if we just put in the command(s) to seceed all of Finland to Germany? If Finland is liberated then the SOV player won't have the territories to give, right? Or would that cause a logic error?

I theory, yes - Soviet agreement should trigger extra event for Germany with Germans liberating all the nations in range. The problem is that sometimes this event would liberate countires that player don't want to liberate. Alternative - chain of events with each country and question "do you want to liberate X?"

It should work - but I'm not sure if you are able to liberate Finland later, since 1.05c/1.06 is somehow bugged when it comes to liberating nations.

Best option is loading the save game file from before the peace, liberating Finland before the bitter peace happens, then fighting until event triggers.

I´m new in teh C.O.R.E community, and I don´t know if anyone has ever reported this:

I´m playing with Germany (about half a dozen times already) and I cant make the Italians join the Axis. I have shipped the Coal they need every year and I´ve waited for the state visits, anti-comintern pacts and such, but the AI never enters my military aliance, no matter how many times I push for it. Is this a bug or am I doing something really stupid? :confused:

I ask that because it shouldn´t be too damn difficult to make the Italians join the Axis. Despite some attriction over Austria in 1934, the Axis was almost totally up-an-running in 1936.... by no late ´37 it shoul be establish (at least Italy an Germany, anyway) in the game, unless some freaky options on the part of the AI were made (btw, I´ve played several times, so I doubt the AI would be consistently doing this).

Somente, help me get the Axis rollin!

Rome-Berlin Axis is simulated by some pre-war pact (anti-commintern ans some other), since if Italy become allied with Germany before '39 it means that she will be in war from the beginning instead of June 1940...So, maybe if you insist they will join you... In addition Anschluss will make italians think twice before joining you...
However I don't think there is anything hardcoded or any event thet forbid an early Germany-Italy alliance.

So you´re saying that Italy enters the Axis by Event in july of 1940 or that It just becomes easier for my attempts to bring them to alliance work?
What about Japan?

Level of sharing is probably hardcoded - as far as as know, only Allies really share technology, Axis and Commintern share seriously less then them.

Playing Core 0.82 as Germany, I noticed an event trigger bug.
When Germany proposes non-aggression-pacts to Baltic states, in my game Norway went with "Sign pact", but I got the event "Norway refuses" :confused:

Sorry if that´s a known bug, I didn´t go through all those pages in this thread :p
