So? No one hear is denying that Byzantium was Roman. We’re just saying that it makes more sense to use the commong English language name in an English language game.

to be Honest i think the Roman empire is more known than Byzantium in most parts of the world. And a change from Byzantium to Roman Empire in the Tag would still be a English label in a English spoken Game.

Roman Empire is more known, but people know it as the ancient& classical empire. The medieval Greek state is definitely more known as Byzantium. Every game I play or video I watch or article I read calls it Byzantium after the western empire falls

These are conventions, and a bit arbitrary. They are also perspectives - also a bit arbitrary. But expecting everyone else to adopt your own perspective doesn't help.
