Hello, hello and welcome to the fourth and final segment of my Mega-Campaign AAR. Byzantium is ahead of everyone and is the head of the massive Byzantine Commonwealth of Nations.

Her borders know no ends, but she is surrounded by enemies. Nations envy her wealth, and liberals diplore her strong monarchy. Soviets have taken refuge in the third world, after having been chased out of Russia and the rest of the Commonwealth. Poland is the head of a more radical form of Sovietism known as Polish-Sovietskism. More "moderate" Soviets have created the USASSR or the Union of South American Soviet Socialist Republics, a loose organization of nations including Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Bolivia and Ecuador.

The only other colonial power is Japan, with her huge investments in Siberia, but she is close with Byzantium, sharing the Orthodox religion and a long history of friendliness.

The armies of Kaiser Wilhelm III Dukas march unchecked throughout the world, can he unite the entire world under his flag, or shall Byzantium parish under the wave of communism that is growing in strength with every passing moment.

The game starts in 1936, 870 years after the Dukas' took personal control of the Empire. Since then they have rebuilt Rome, conquered the new world, became a German Empire, and built up a powerful commonwealth stretching from Hong Kong to Las Vegas. Her population in 1920 was close to 12,683,000,000 and is now closing in on 20,000,000,000 as medicine becomes better and cheaper.

----------------------------------
There are 12 years left in the mega-campaign, and I must finish on December 31, 1947 to complete the campaign. So a WC at exactly that time will be hard so don't expect it.

Also, if anyone knows a website that will host video for free, or a way to post video feed on the thread, tell me, I'd like to make a movie or two for this...

Also, after the campaign has ended, if there is enough support, I will hold a "Press Confrence" of types, and of cource bash (verbally) my competition; Billy Bob; he gave it a good go.

I hope to start around next weekend, because school is starting.

Thanky you for making this far with me! :D

Not to mention Grundius and Dead William who dropped out in the CK portion....

Just finished reading all of your Byzantine adventures, great work in all three games (though I am only familiar with two of them). The spread of Orthodoxy is particularly amazing! I can never get those missionaries to work.

Good luck in HOI, and be sure to crush those commies!

Well, much of the conversion happened during CK, the rest was wrap uk during EUII, England and France just didn't want to convert! Between 1206 and 1419 aabout 1/5 of France converted, between 1390 and 1419 9/10 of Egypt and Syria converted! Is this hard coded maybe?

I would have expected Syria and Egypt to be harder...but nevermind. As a great man called Freddie of Mercury once said 'The Show Must Go On!'. On it must go! You hear that Mr. C? On!

Sorry, school just started, and even though I am a high-school junior, I am taking a college sophmore corse. Two days in and I am already bogged down under homework. I am now modding army groups into important nations, then all I have left is the flags and shields....

Yeah, I started in EU2 rather than in CK. I might go all the way to HoI2 though, but first I'll see how your Big Purple Blob does in the modern world. ;)

unfortunatly same goes for the VIC MDS Im still a Freshman

It'll probably PWN like it does in every other timeframe :)

Looks interesting. :)

My apologies, several problems have come up that hinder my progress on the HoI 1 phase of this game:

A) HoI Editor unreliable at best with v1.06
B) Placing all those f***ing armies!
C) Goddammed graphics won't work!
D) Rome: Total War ( :D  )
E) School
F) Work
G) Social Life
H) Any combination of A through G, and sometimes even H

This is not dead, but I'm putting it on a feeding tube until I have enough time to finish the mod. Nations and their governments/ resources are done.... but there are so many armies.....! After the first grading quater (around November is when the AAR will return to 6th gear, but until then it is on after burners and might be incomplete, hence Java's flag is Guatamala's....

I'm amazed you got the editor to work at all with 1.06! I have always manually edited for exactly that reason. Good luck and I hope to eventually see Byzantium be the master of all the world.

I have read all the segments to your AAR Mr. Capitalist and I'm eager to see the final chapter. I'm a Byzantine fan so I hope to see the imperial purple cover the world come november.

Jimi Hendrix will be proud indeed to see the purple haze obscuring the world :)
