In major_byz.txt there is an event 23014, the cannons. If you choose option A you trigger event 23015 yet I can find no refernece to 23015. Could someone please tell me where 23015 is or what it is supposed to be?

If you choose not to Hire Urban and get the cannons, it triggers event 23015, which is an Ottoman event. This gives them the same opportunity you just had, to hire Urban and get the cannons. You'll find the event in major_tur.txt in your Events subdirectory.
